Speculoos Spread Cake Donuts



Don’t you just love doughnuts? These rich creamy sweet doughnuts are easy to make follow recipe below:

Ingredients
1  cup all purpose flour
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
7  tablespoons buttermilk
5 tablespoons Speculoos spread
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1  tablespoon melted butter

Glaze
1 cup powdered sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 Tablespoon Speculoos spread
3 - 4 tablespoons milk

Direction:
For the Dough
Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
 Mix together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in a bowl. Add buttermilk, egg, Speculoos spread, vanilla and melted butter. Whisk to combine.

Transfer dough to a ziplock bag. Snip off a corner of the bag and pipe dough evenly into a 6-cup doughnut pan. You can also use a pastry bag with a tip as well.
Bake for 9-10 minutes, or until dough is set (it won’t be golden brown, but should be springy.)

For the Glaze
In a separate bowl, mix together powdered sugar, vanilla and Speculoos spread. Begin adding milk 1 tablespoon at a time. Stir until desired thickness of glaze is achieved. Glaze doughnuts while warm or cool.

Yields: - 8 donuts

Cookie Sandwich with Speculoos Spread





Another treat that you will enjoy, Cookie Sandwich with Speculoos spread. Follow recipe below.

Ingredients:

·         For the cookies:
2 3/4 cup AP flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 cup butter, room temperature
2 large eggs
2 tbsp sugar
2 tsp cinnamon
·         Filling:
3 tbsp unsalted butter, room temperature
1/2 cup Speculoos spread
1 cup confectioner sugar, sifted
1/2 tsp cinnamon
3 tbsp milk


Procedure:
·         Preheat oven to 350.  Line a baking sheet with either parchment paper.
·         Sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt.  Set aside.  In an electric mixer fitted with a paddle attachment, mix together the butter and sugar on medium speed until light and fluffy in consistency for about 3-5 minutes.  Mix in eggs one at a time, beating for one minute after each addition and scraping down the sides as needed.  Reduce speed to low and gradually mix in the flour until just combined.
·         Stir together cinnamon and 2 tbsp sugar in a small bowl.  Shape the dough into little balls (about a heaping tsp or a small cookie scoop’s worth).  Roll the balls in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.  Place the cookie dough balls on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes or until edges are golden.  Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 3 minutes before removing to a wire rack.  Let cool completely before filling.

To make the filling:

·         Combine the butter,  Speculoos spread, confectioners’ sugar and cinnamon in the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment.  Beat on medium speed until smooth.  Add the milk and beat until fluffy.
·         To assemble the sandwiches, find two cookies that are similar in size.  Use a knife to spread about a tbsp of filling on the inside of one cookie.  Sandwich the cookies together.
·         Makes 24 cookie sandwich

PUMPKIN PIE WITH SPECULOOS SPREAD


A great holiday dessert to try for this season, Pumpkin pie with speculoos spread. Follow recipe below:

Serves Eight

INGREDIENTS:
  • Pastry for a 10-inch deep dish pie shell
  • 1/2 cup Speculoos Spread
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 (15 oz.) solid pack pumpkin in a can
  • 1 (12 oz.) evaporated milk in a can
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • Whipped Cream or Speculoos Spread sauce
INSTRUCTIONS:
  1. Heat oven to 425F.
  2. Prepare a 10-inch deep dish pie plate,flute edges attractively.
  3. Combine together Speculoos Spread, sugar and eggs in a large bowl.
  4. Stir in remaining ingredients and whisk well.
  5. Bake for 10 minutes then reduce oven temperature to 350F.
  6. Continue to bake 35 to 40 or until center is set.
  7. Cool on wire rack at least 2 hours before serving at room temperature or chilled with desired topping.

Toppings
Whipped Cream: With a hand held mixer in a small bowl, whip together ¼ cup Speculoos Spread and ¼ cup whipping cream and set aside Refrigerate until serving time. Makes about 1¾ cups.Top each slice of pie with whipped cream and drizzle with warm Speculoos Spread sauce.

Speculoos Spread Cookie Balls



A very easy recipe to try for snack, Speculoos spread cookie balls. Follow this delicious recipe below:

Makes 20 Cookie Balls

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1/2 Cup Speculoos Spread
  • 1/4 Cup Applesauce
  • 1/2 table Spoon Vanilla
  • 3 table spoon  Coconut Flour
  • 3 table spoon White Whole Wheat Flour
  • 1/2 Cup Rolled Oats
  • 2 table spoon Unsweetened Shredded Coconut (optional)


INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  •  In a large bowl using an electric mixer, combine wet ingredients until smooth.
  •  Slowly mix in flours, followed by the oats.
  •   Lastly, mix in shredded coconut (optional).
  •  Scoop 2 tsp of dough onto greased tray and roll to form balls.
  •    Bake on slightly greased pan 9-10 minutes or just until brown on edges; do NOT over bake.

Speculoos Spread Tiramisu


Try our own rendition of Tiramisu with Speculoos spread you’ll surely love it! Follow recipe below.

Serves: 9

INGREDIENTS
  • 1/2 cup Softened cream cheese
  • 1/3 cup Speculoos Spread
  • 1-1/2 cups cold milk
  • 1 (3.4 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 2 (3 ounce) packages ladyfingers, split
  • 1/4 cup strong brewed espresso
  • 2 tablespoons almond liqueur
  • 2 ounces semi-sweet or bittersweet chocolate candy bar, grated
DIRECTIONS
  1. In bowl of electric mixer, beat together cheese and Speculoos Spread on low speed until well blended.
  2. Gradually beat in milk. Add pudding mix; beat on low speed 1 minute or until well blended.
  3. Combine espresso and almond liqueur; drizzle evenly over cut sides of ladyfingers.
  4. Arrange 1/2 of the ladyfingers in bottom of 8 or 9-inch square glass baking dish.
  5. Spread 1/2 of cheese mixture over ladyfingers; sprinkle with 1/2 of grated chocolate.
  6. Repeat layering with 1/2 ladyfingers, 1/2 of cheese mixture, 1/3 of grated chocolate, remaining ladyfingers and chocolate.
  7. Refrigerate at least 3 hours before serving (cut into squares).
